Randy Orton took a shot at Kevin Owens last night on RAW about his weight and that shot was deliberate from WWE officials who are against Owens because of the way he looks as well as the way he carries himself.
As noted earlier on the site, there are some within WWE that do not see anything in Kevin Owens and then there are some that see potential in Owens as a big star.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Owens has his supporters who are trying to help him get over as much as possible with upper management and so he can be a big star, but then there are some who are helping Owens just enough to say that they tried to help while they didn’t want him to succeed in the first place.
Down below is an excerpt of Meltzer explaining this in the past on an episode of the Wrestling Observer radio.
“To again explain this: there were two schools of thought on Kevin Owens from the start and the basic gist was that some people thought that he was going to make it and some people thought he wasn’t going to make it, and those who thought he wasn’t going to make it made sure that he got every opportunity to make it or else they would be wrong. You know what I mean? I shouldn’t say they would be wrong, they wouldn’t prove that they were right. So now whether he makes it or he doesn’t make it, there is a game going on and we’re in the middle of the game.”
