Vince Russo blasts TNA because he thinks there is too much wrestling on Impact Wrestling

Former WWE, WCW and TNA creative writer Vince Russo has posted a new blog on the Relm Network about how TNA (which he calls Global Force Impact) has become Ring of Honor with better lighting. He also thinks there is too much wrestling on their show.

Check out an excerpt of this blog down below:

I hadn’t watched Jarrett/Carter’s Global Force Impact since Dixie handed Jeff a free infomercial for his new company a few weeks back, but being I woke up early Saturday morning and had nothing else to do (I had already clipped my toenails), I figured I’d give it a whirl.

After DVRing through 90% of the show, I could spend the next 6 pages here telling you what was wrong, and why, but quite frankly I don’t want to either waste my time . . . or, yours. So, what I’ll just ask is this—when did Global Force Impact become as vanilla as Ring of Honor? For two hours there was nothing but wrestling–no stories–no characters–just wrestling. With the exception of TNA World Champion Ethan Carter—who deserves so much more—if I would have never seen this snooze fest—I wouldn’t have missed anything.

Wrestling, wrestling, wrestling, that’s all I’m seeing from every promotion these days with the exception of Lucha Underground. The drama, the comedy, the suspense—all gone. The only thing outside of wrestling was a Jeff Jarrett promo where he rubbed his chin a lot as if he were in deep thought. I can only wonder what he was thinking about—maybe how in the world he talked Carter and Gaburick into an invasion angle that is just about as exciting as a ballet featuring opera music.

Why is everybody so lazy? What the !@#$% happened? I begging one person, just one, to step up and explain it to me. Anybody can book wrestling matches—absolutely anybody. It doesn’t take effort, and it doesn’t take creativity–all it takes is a pencil and piece of paper—period. And, to add insult to injury, while I knew the TNA guys/gals because I had the pleasure of working with many of them, who were these Global Force guys? Ever, single one of them looked the same with nobody standing out from the crowd.
