James Storm returns to TNA, reunites with Bobby Roode

Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion James Storm returned to TNA on Tuesday’s episode of Impact Wrestling on Pop TV. We reported earlier in the week that he had flown into Bethlehem, PA on Sunday night and was going to appear on the show.

Here’s a recap of the segment from our Impact Wrestling report… Storm made the save for Bobby Roode after Roode was attacked by Bram. Then Storm grabbed a microphone and said that he left Impact several months ago because he didn’t like who he was portraying. Storm said that he’s a Johnny-Cash listening beer drinker from Tennessee. He said that he wasn’t having fun anymore and that he was sitting at home and came across Impact Wrestling and saw that he got the “biggest disappointment” award. Storm looked at Roode and said that they drank a lot of beer together. He said that they made a lot of money together. Storm says it’s time to get back to having fun. Storm cracks open a couple of beer bottles and gives one to Roode. Storm: “Beer?” Roode hesitates. Storm grabs it and says, “Money.” The old Beer Money theme plays to close the segment. The group is officially back together.

Storm’s TNA contract expired in June 2015. Storm showed up in NXT back in October of 2015. He worked a match at that taping and an NXT TV taping in November, but he did not sign a long-term contract with WWE.

TNA will be taping several episodes of Impact Wrestling and a live One Night Only PPV this week. We will have spoilers from those tapings.
