Dave Meltzer noted on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that Rusev injured his knee at the live event in Bossier City, Louisiana on Saturday night. The injury not believed to be too serious and he should be back in time for the Royal Rumble.
Meanwhile, Rusev teased going after Kalisto’s United States title so we may be seeing that feud soon:
Nice little win @KalistoWWE . You are a small man with big title. AND I WANT IT.

Rusev has since posted the following on Twitter:
It's stupid American propaganda. I'm not injured. Just because I didn't go beat up Brock It doesn't mean I'm injured. I go to India now.

You can add Rusev to the list of wrestlers that are denying injury reports. As previously noted, in the past year or so, WWE has not been open about injuries as they had been in the past. In some cases, they have denied certain injuries only for the injury to be confirmed by someone else. In Daniel Bryan’s case, WWE denied that he suffered a concussion but he came out later and confirmed the news in an interview.
