Rusev returned to action during the WWE tour of India. Rusev had denied that he was injured but several fans pointed out to us that he was wearing a knee pad on his right leg.
As noted earlier this week, there is a paranoia in the company over some injuries getting out to the public so, in fairness to Rusev, he is likely following WWE’s directive. There have been several examples of wrestlers being injured and then going on social media to deny injury reports. Randy Orton recently denied that he was told that he would need neck surgery. Orton was told that he would need minor neck surgery to remove some bone chips but in the last couple of weeks, he was told that it was no longer necessary. Dave Meltzer first reported that Sasha Banks is also out with an injury and I have been able to confirm that she has been on the WWE injury list.
Rusev wrestled Ryback on the first day of the tour and then wrestled Roman Reigns in New Delhi.
