Daniel Bryan announces his retirement from pro wrestling

Daniel Bryan announced on Twitter that he is retiring from pro wrestling due to medical reasons. He will be appearing on RAW Monday night. He tweeted out the following:

Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement. Tonight on Raw, I’ll have a chance to elaborate. #gratitude

Bryan has been out of action since last April after he suffered a concussion.

Bryan signed with WWE in August 2009 and appeared on the first season of NXT. He would win the WWE Title (four-times), Intercontinental Title (one-time), United States Title (one-time), and Tag Team Titles (one-time) during his WWE career.
