In the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter, Dave Meltzer is reporting that there is interest from Bellator MMA if Punk wanted to become an MMA fighter. Rener Gracie has been training Punk for he last few years and commented about the possibility of Punk competing in MMA.
“With the little time he’s had with me spread out over so many years, he’s made remarkable progress,” Gracie told FOX Sports. “There’s no telling how successful he would be if he devoted himself full time to the training.” The video below is from 2012.
Rener said that Punk is a sponge and picked things up quickly and believes he could have a few fights in UFC.
