The latest on Randy Orton is that he’s about a month or so away from returning to action. The original timeline was for him to be in Orlando by mid-June so he could train for a few weeks and then be ready around this time. That has been delayed slightly because Orton’s shoulder is still not 100% recovered but it is improving.
This is the third time he’s had an operation on the same shoulder but this time it was an extensive surgery and the hope is that this recent surgery will fix the problem. Orton did have a neck issue but doctors told him months ago that he doesn’t need surgery on it right now.
The marketing director for the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, TX tweeted out an updated card for the 8/13 house show so it looks like WWE is confident that he will be ready by then or before that date. A late July/early August return means that there is time to slot him in a program for SummerSlam.
Orton has been out of action since October.
