Welcome to the WWE Raw pre-show, and we are live on the WWE Network. Scott Stanford, Booker T, and Corey Graves talk about Brock Lesnar’s win at UFC 200 as well as his match against Randy Orton at SummerSlam. They also talked about Vince McMahon returning on RAW.
Welcome to WWE Monday Night Raw. Several WWE Superstars are in the ring for a Battle Royal. The Miz hyped the match and said that the winner of this match would be his opponent at Battleground.
#1 Contender’s Battle Royal: Baron Corbin, The Dudleys, Alberto Del Rio, Goldust, R-Truth, The Usos, The Vaudevillains, Bo Dallas, Jack Swagger, Titus O’Neil, Darren Young, Curtis Axel, The Ascension and Dolph Ziggler.
Goldust eliminated Aiden English right out of the gate. R-Truth eliminated Konnor. Bob Backlund was at ringside for this match. Devon sent Curtis Axel to the floor for elimination. Baron Corbin eliminated R-Truth and then Viktor. The Usos eliminated Devon with a superkick.
-Commercial Break-
Del Rio kicked Goldust out of the ring for the elimination. Swagger eliminated Dallas. Young eliminated Bubba Dudley. Corbin hit a side slam to Young. Del Rio super kicked Corbin then kicked him in the head. Ziggler hit a fameasser to Del Rio and almost eliminated him, but Del Rio held on. Del Rio botched a back breaker to Ziggler. Ziggler superkicks Del Rio through the middle rope so he is not eliminated. Ziggler went for a fameasser, but Corbin blocked it and sent him to the apron. Del Rio rolled back in. Crews tossed Del Rio to the floor. Final four was Crews, Corbin, Young, and Ziggler. Corbin and Ziggler tumbled to the apron. Corbin tossed him to the floor. Crews clotheslined Corbin to the floor, and he fell out as well, so Young is the winner.
Winner: Young.
-Commercial Break-
Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon talk about Vince showing up on the show. Both speculated about why Vince is appearing on the show. Seth Rollins walked in and said that he would be the #1 draft pick. Rollins said that he has exclusive footage about Roman Reigns’ suspension. Shane thinks that will be great on the Ambrose Asylum. Rollins thinks that he should have his own talk show. Stephanie and Shane agreed.
Still shots of Brock Lesnar beating Mark Hunt at UFC 200 was shown. It was announced that Randy Orton would be on Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel talk show at Battleground.
We see Zack Ryder demanding a US Title shot against Rusev tonight. Sheamus attacked Ryder from behind.

Singles Match: Sheamus vs. Zack Ryder.
Sheamus tossed him around to begin the match. Ryder fought back with a series of right hands. Ryder hit a big boot for a near fall. Ryder went to the top rope, but Sheamus knocked him down and hit the Brogue Kick for the win.
Winner: Sheamus.
Post-match, Rusev ran down and applied the Accolade on Ryder.

Tag Team Match: Tyler Breeze and Fandango vs. The Lucha Dragons.
Fandango and Breeze beat down Cara in the early going. Kalisto got the hot tag and hit a series of kicks to Breeze. Kalisto with a spinning kick to Fandango Breeze rolled him up for 2. Kalisto with an up kick but Breeze caught him with a superkick for the win.
Winners: Breeze and Fandango
-Commercial Break-
Seth Rollins walked out and said that he has a scoop for all of the fans. He told Jon Stewart to retire because he is the new best reporter. Footage of him doing a fake interview with Reigns. The segment was about Reigns suspension and Reigns’ comments were taken from previous interviews. The interview was over, and Rollins praised himself for the interview. Rollins said that Reigns needs to be taken out of the WWE Title match at Battleground. Dean Ambrose then walked out to the ring. Ambrose said that the interview was good. Rollins said that he would prove that he is the best member of The Shield at Battleground and win back the WWE Title. Ambrose said that he likes to have a good time because he is WWE Champion and on top of the world. Ambrose said that he has already proven that he is the backbone of the WWE, and now the whole world knows it. Ambrose said that Rollins had known him for a long time, and he knows the person he is. Ambrose asked him how far Rollins thinks he will go to keep the WWE Title. Ambrose said that it’s not a joke when he said that no one would take the WWE Title from him. Ambrose said that if Rollins wants a title shot then pick a place. Rollins said that Detroit is a place as good as any but not tonight and that he would see him next week.

Singles Match: Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro.
Cesaro took him down and went for the giant swing, but Owens rolled out of the ring. Owens tossed him over the barricade. Back in the ring, Owens hit a back splash for 2. Cesaro reversed a move and hit a suplex for 2. Cesaro hit a series of uppercuts but was sent to the floor.
-Commercial Break-
We’re back with Owens hitting a neck breaker. Cesaro fired back with a series of uppercuts for 2. Owens poked him in the eye and went for a powerbomb but it was blocked, and Cesaro hit a springboard uppercut for 2. Cesaro put on JBL’s cowboy hat and hit an uppercut. Cesaro hit a crossbody off the top rope for 2. Owens went for a DDT, but Cesaro caught him and hit a drop kick. Owens sent him into the turnbuckle and hit a swinging neck breaker for the win.
Winner: Owens.
Post-match, Zayn attacked Owens.
The Club cuts a promo backstage about John Cena not caring about Enzo Amore and Big Cass. The Club said that they are gonna take out Amore and Cass. The Club said that they would then beat up Cena on Wednesday during the ESPY Awards.

Singles Match: Titus O’Neil vs. Heath Slater.
O’Neil landed a series of chops to begin the match. Slater landed a big boot and then kicked him on the ground. O’Neil fought back with a series of tosses. O’Neil hit a splash in the corner and then a powerbomb for the win.
Winner: O’Neil.
Sasha Banks cut a backstage promo about facing Dana Brooke tonight. She said that all she has been thinking about is hitting Brooke.

There is a video shown of The New Day and The Wyatt Family brawling at the Wyatt compound.
Enzo Amore and Big Cass walk out for their match. Big Cass said that everyone wants Cena’s spot, but they are gonna earn his spot. Amore said that The Club has no backbones like chicken tenders. Cass said that they would not wait to get attacked by The Club, so they stepped up and got in the fight. Styles, who was in the ring with Gallows and Anderson, said that Cena is not here tonight because Cena doesn’t care about them. Styles told them to walk away. Amore said that the only place they’re walking is into the ring.
Tag Team Match: Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
Amore and Anderson started things off. Amore worked over his arm. Anderson landed a right hand. Gallows was tagged in and beat Amore down. Gallows sent Amore into the ring post, and we cut to break.

We’re back with The Club beating down Amore. Things broke down, and The Club attacked Amore and Cass. Cena ran down to make the save. Cena, Big Cass, and Amore stood tall in the ring to close the segment.

Singles Match: Sasha Banks vs. Dana Brooke.
They had brawled before we went to break.
-Commercial Break-
We’re back with Brooke in control of Banks. Brooke landed a big boot and then ran into a boot. Banks with a series of clotheslines and then a knee strike for 2. Banks hit the Bank Statement for the win.
Winner: Banks.
Charlotte cut a promo after the match and said that if Banks can beat Brooke on Thursday’s episode of SmackDown, then she can challenge for the Women’s Title.
-Commercial Break-
The McMahons (Shane, Stephanie and Vince) all walk down to the ring. Vince said that he thought they would never get along but they have. Vince said that he is disappointed in both of them and they act like their not his kids. Vince wants to know who Stephanie is. She said that she is his daughter. Vince said that the only reason Shane is here is because of his jump at WrestleMania. Vince expected more of them. Vince said that he wanted Stephanie to impress him. She listed all of the accomplishments that she got while in charge. Shane took the mic from her after she started to complain. Shane said that he returned to WWE five months ago and that moment rocked him to his core. Shane said that he represents a change that WWE needs and something that SmackDown needs. Shane said that he is the only one who tells Vince what he thinks without kissing his ass. Shane said that Vince could make history if he chooses him as SmackDown. Vince said he could careless what the fans think. Vince announces that the new commissioner of SmackDown live is Shane. Vince said that Shane wouldn’t be in charge of RAW and Stephanie would be in charge of RAW. Vince wants them to compete against each other, and one of them might be in charge of WWE. Vince announced that Shane and Stephanie need to pick a GM for their shows, and the GM’s will be revealed next week. Vince walked to the back. Stephanie said that Shane has always tried to make her feel nothing, and she promises to bury SmackDown. She said that she would make him wish he was never even born. Shane said that Stephanie is not mad but is scared. He said game on and then she slapped him. She left the ring and almost fell off the steps. She walked to the back to close the show.
