ORIGINAL: Blomberg.com is reporting that WWE is being sued by several former Superstars. The lawsuit claims that the company hid long-term effects of brain injuries.
I’m not sure why Axl Rotten’s name is included. Other than a match at the One Night Stand show in 2005 and a few dark matches, I don’t think Rotten was ever under a long-term WWE deal. There are other names in the lawsuit that had very brief tenures with WWE while others were with the company for several years.
The suit claims that WWE “placed corporate gain over its wrestlers’ health, safety and financial security, choosing to leave the plaintiffs severely injured and with no recourse to treat their damaged minds and bodies.”
WWE has not commented on the story as of this writing.
