As announced on this week’s Smackdown Live, Dean Ambrose will be defending the WWE World Championship against Dolph Ziggler.
At the start of this week’s Smackdown Live, Commissioner Shane McMahon and GM Daniel Bryan announced that the number 1 contender for the WWE Championship would be determined in a 6-pack challenge match towards the end of the show. The names announced were: John Cena, AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin. Apollo Crews won a battle royal to qualify as the 6th man in the 6-pack challenge.
Ziggler got the win after super kicking and pinning AJ Styles to close out Smackdown Live.
