Jinder Mahal made his return to WWE on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw in a segment with former partner Heath Slater. As we exclusively reported last week on wrestlingnews.co, the plan is for Slater to be used on both brands (at least for the short-term) so he can help put over returning stars. Slater declared that 2MB is back together but he was interrupted by Mick Foley. Foley put Mahal in a match with Slater with the winner getting a contract on Monday Night Raw. Mahal won his match so he is officially part of the Raw brand.
The returning stars are being brought back to help put over younger talent.
This is Mahal’s second stint with WWE. His last stint ended in 2014 after a run with Slater and Drew McIntyre as the 3MB faction. He left on good terms and the company always left the door open for a possible return. Mahal was backstage at TNA Slammiversary back in June.
