TMZ is reporting that Eva Marie’s suspension was triggered by Adderall. It’s the same substance that Roman Reigns and Adam Rose failed for. The drug is commonly used for ADHD but it’s also used as a party drug. In 2013, NFL.com ran a story about Adderall being the drug of choice for many NFL players so it’s a problem in all sports. Some of the negative side effects can include: rapid or irregular heartbeat, delirium, panic, psychosis, and heart failure. The drug would be ok under the WWE wellness policy if the talent has a valid prescription and is under doctor supervision and if WWE is told about it beforehand.
All performers are required to disclose what medications they are taking and not doing means that you are subject to a wellness policy violation if it is found in your system. WWE is saying that the medication was not properly approved.
Eva’s claim is that she had a legitimate prescription from her doctor. In a statement to TMZ she said, “I am disappointed that this suspension has occurred, yet understand and respect that WWE upholds their Wellness Policy to the letter and won’t compromise on its integrity.”
She added, “I violated policy by not turning in portions of required paperwork in the time frame WWE Medical deemed timely. I look forward to my return!”
