– As noted, Sasha Banks dropped the WWE Women’s Title to Charlotte at Sunday’s SummerSlam PPV event because she is currently dealing with a back injury and needed time off to heal.
Banks will return to in-ring action sooner than originally expected. Dave Meltzer noted on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that it was originally believed that Banks would be out of action for about six months, but now she is expected to return in just 1-2 months. Banks was examined backstage at Monday’s RAW. Banks is currently advertised for WWE events beginning on September 23rd.
– The original plans for Bayley were not for her to be in the WWE Women’s Title picture as soon as she was called up to the main roster. With Sasha Banks being sidelined with a back injury, it appears that WWE is setting up a match between Bayley and Charlotte.
