Austin Aries defeated No Way Jose at Saturday’s NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II special at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. After the match, Aries ambushed No Way Jose and locked in the Last Chancery submission hold. Hideo Itami’s music hit, and he walked down the ramp in a suit. He got in the ring and was kicked low by Aries as he took off his blazer. Itami recovered and kicked Aries in the head. He then hit the GTS to Aries.
Aries noted on his official Twitter account that he suffered a ruptured eardrum in the post-match attack. He posted this:
