Alberto Del Rio is already finished with WWE, according to Raj Giri of WrestlingInc. Giri noted that Del Rio, through his attorney, gave notice to the company 60 days ago. He is currently serving a 30-day suspension for a wellness policy violation. I am sure that people will be talking about the timing of his suspension, especially when you consider that he had given notice to the company just a few weeks before WWE announced his wellness policy violation.
As we noted earlier, Del Rio was removed from all WWE live events and he was not expected back. Giri reports that Del Rio was frustrated with his push since he returned late last year. He was set to go into a feud with John Cena but plans changed when Cena was injured and Del Rio was eventually slotted into the short-lived League Of Nations faction.
Del Rio will be free to work elsewhere at the end of September and there is interest in him from TNA and the Combates Americas MMA promotion.
