Roman Reigns was ranked #1 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 2016 PWI 500 list. The evaluation period for the list is from July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2016.
During that time, Reigns won the WWE Title three times. Reigns won the vacant WWE Title at Survivor Series in November 2015 by defeating both Alberto Del Rio and Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match. Reigns won the title for a second time on the December 14th episode of RAW by beating Sheamus and then for a third time when he defeated Triple H at WrestleMania 32 in April.
