Sasha Banks cleared to wrestle, will challenge for the Raw Women’s Championship at Clash Of Champions

Sasha Banks came out in the third hour of Raw to make an announcement. The announcers played it up like it was really bad news and like she was about to announce her retirement. Banks talked about the women’s revolution and the work that it took to get away from bra and panties matches and the move away from the “stupid” butterfly Divas belt to the Women’s title. She said that she does what she does for everyone that dreams of doing more and those that are told that they are nothing. She talked about selling soda cans as a kid to save up money so she could get a ticket to a WWE show. Banks got emotional as she talked about how it means everything each time she gets in the ring.

Banks said that she was pushed beyond her limit at SummerSlam but Charlotte beat her straight up. She said that she met with doctors and she has some bad news. Dana Brooke interrupted Banks before she could make her announcement and promised to finish what Charlotte started at SummerSlam. Brooke went to attack Banks but Banks turned things around and hit the Banks Statement on her.

Banks declared that she would be going for Charlotte’s Women’s Championship at Clash Of Champions. As we noted before, Banks’ back injury was not as bad as originally thought and she was expected to return sooner. It looks like her return match will indeed be at Clash Of Champions. I should note that Bayley got a non-title win over Charlotte earlier in the show so it’s very possible that she will be added to Women’s title match.
