WWE announced on Wednesday that Becky Lynch would defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Alexa Bliss at the No Mercy PPV event. Bliss defeated Nikki Bella, Carmella, Naomi, and Natalya in a fatal five-way match on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live to earn a shot at the title.

The WWE No Mercy pay-per-view event will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. This will be a SmackDown brand exclusive show. The event will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets.
