We now know who is behind the Sanity vignettes that have been airing on NXT TV during the past several weeks. It turns out that Sanity is a faction comprised of former TNA World Champion Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, Sawyer Fulton and Nikki Storm. Sanity took on Bobby Roode and Tye Dillinger in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament during Thursday night’s tapings. Sanity won their match after Roode ditched his partner.
We’re told that Young is being positioned as the leader of the group. He was signed a while back but the company was waiting on the right creative and the right time to re-debut him after he appeared on a set of NXT tapings a few months ago.
Nikki Storm signed with WWE back in April. Alexander Wolfe, formerly known as Axel Tischer, was signed last year and he previously wrestled for the WXW promotion in Germany. Fulton was signed back in 2012 and had been teaming with Wolfe on NXT live events in recent months.
