WWE Studios has released the first trailer for “The Resurrection of Gavin Stone.” Shawn Michaels (playing the role of Doug) is featured in the movie alongside Brett Dalton.
The movie tells a story of a washed-up former child star and troubled actor who pretends to be Christian so he can land a role in a play. Later, he reconnects with his past and finds God.
The film was produced by the Harvest Bible Chapel’s Vertical Church Films and was later purchased by WWE Studios. It’s set for a January 2017 release. No word yet on if this film will be limited to a DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital release or if there are plans for a theatrical release.
