This is a crucial week for TNA Wrestling because a deal needs to be made before the next set of TV tapings. TNA is scheduled to run the Bound For Glory show in Orlando on Sunday and they need to tape TV shows next week. The problem is that there is no money to fund this coming week’s pay-per-view and TV tapings. WWE is back in the picture but that’s not good for the company because if Dixie Carter sells to them then it’s pretty much over for TNA and many people will be out of a job. WWE would pick up their TV library and use it for home video footage and the WWE Network.
In an interview with ESPN, Billy Corgan said that he is trying to buy the company but it’s a complicated process and it could take weeks to get the deal done. If he buys TNA then he would change the name of the company. The problem is that TNA doesn’t have a lot of time and they need money by Friday.
Another problem with TNA is that they are in a lot of debt. Whoever buys the company would take on the debt owed.
