As noted over the weekend, a fan asked former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman on Twitter if WWE would still be interested in bringing in Ronda Rousey following her quick loss to Amanda Nunes at Friday’s UFC 207 event. Coachman said that there is no chance of that happening as perception matters in wrestling. He then replied to a fan and wrote, “It will NEVER happen. They are not in the business of bringing in a broken star and rebuilding her.”
Coachman spoke with Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca on Tuesday’s edition of Busted Open to clarify his comments about Rousey. He said Rousey is a broken star and that WWE is interested in talent based on their make-up, and that the way she handled her losses in the UFC showed them who she is. He also commented on if RAW should go back to two hours. He said that he understands that money is involved but that RAW should be two hours and not three.
Busted Open with Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca can be heard Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 2p-4p Eastern Time only on SiriusXM Rush Channel 93 and if you’d like to hear the full interview, it can be found online at SiriusXM.com/OnDemand or on your phone on the SiriusXM App. You can listen to a couple of clips from the interview below:
