WWE taped tonight’s edition of NXT on Thursday, January 5th, 2017, from Winter Park, FL at the Full Sail University. Here are the spoilers for tonight’s show.
— A video of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce attacking Asuka outside of the arena was shown.
— Tag Team Match: Billie Kay & Peyton Royce defeated Macey Estrella & Sarah Bridges. Post-match, Royce cuts a promo about them being the most dominant force in the women’s division, and that the NXT Women’s Title belongs to them, Asuka runs out but gets beat down by Kay and Royce. This led to Nikki Cross running out to make the save. After she clears the ring of Kay and Royce, she attacks Asuka. Asuka fights back, and Cross walks to the back.
— Singles Match: Elias Samson defeated Jonathan Cruz.
— Singles Match: Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Oney Lorcan. Post-match, Almas cut a heelish promo in Spanish after he was asked what his goals are for the new year.
— NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa © defeated The Revival. Post-match, Paul Ellering comes out on the stage, which led to Authors of Pain running in from the crowd and blindsided Gargano and Ciampa.
