Jim Ross thinks Neville is the MVP of Cruiserweight division, comments on Jerry Lawler’s return to WWE TV

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry over at his website where he gives his thoughts on various topics. During the blog, Ross commented on Monday’s RAW and Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, FL. He noted that the highlight of RAW for him this week was the opening segment that saw a brawl involving Brock Lesnar. He noted that six-man tag team match to close the show had its moments, but it seems to take an extended length of time to transact the storyline before going off the air. Ross brought up that not having any commentary for the closing brawl segment with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens affected his experience. Ross brought up the rumored match between Lesnar and Goldberg at WrestleMania 33. “I’d be surprised if Lesnar vs. Goldberg at Wrestlemania isn’t for a major title to add to the personal issue of their rivalry. Lesnar is still the most fascinating talent on the WWE roster and with Heyman added into the mix it makes Brock even more valuable.”

Ross praised Neville and called him the MVP of the Cruiserweight division thus far. He noted that Neville has big star potential written all over him in his new villain persona.

As seen on this week’s SmackDown Live, Jerry Lawler hosted a King’s Court segment with Dolph Ziggler. Ross thinks that the segment helped the renewed, antagonist persona of Ziggler. He noted that it’s good to hear that Lawler will be part of the broadcast team with Michael Cole and Corey Graves for the Royal Rumble match.

Ross also talked about Braun Strowman and more. You can read the entire blog here. If you haven’t done so, you can listen to the latest episode of the Ross Report by clicking here.
