WWE pulls Kenny Omega video reference from their website

On Thursday morning, WWE had a video up on their website asking fans who they wanted to see as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble. Seth Rollins brought up Kenny Omega and talked about the rumors about his future being in the air because his current New Japan Pro Wrestling contract about to expire. Actually, Omega’s deal with NJPW is not up until 1/31 so he would not be able to sign with WWE until 2/1 if he wanted to so that means that he couldn’t be in the Royal Rumble. We’ve noted before on the site that the belief is that Omega is staying with NJPW and the fact that his good friend, Don Callis, got the job for the English commentary on NJPW World would also indicate that he is staying there.

They also pulled the clip of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows talking about their picks for surprise Rumble entrants. Anderson said that he’d like to see Tama Tonga and Gallows said that he’d like to see Bad Luck Fale. Both are NJPW stars and my guess is that the video was pulled because the names mentioned are contracted elsewhere and the company probably does not want to promote names now working under their umbrella.

The original video has been uploaded by a fan and you can see it below. Also, scroll down to see the edited video that WWE has put up.
