Long-time Ring Of Honor play-by-play man Kevin Kelly is gone from the company. The news first got out on twitter via @SoDuTw’s account.
Kelly began his career in 1991 for Eddie Mansfield’s International Wrestling Federation. He was signed to a WWF/E deal in 1996 and worked for the company as a backstage interviewer and at times he was also the play-by-play announcer on Raw and Sunday Night Heat broadcasts. Kelly joined Ring Of Honor in 2010 and recently called the English-language version of Wrestle Kingdom 11 for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
This is another huge blow to the company as they’ve lost Steve Corino and Nigel McGuinnes within the last month or so. There’s no word on who Kelly’s replacement will be or where Kelly will land. He will continue to work for NJPW.
