Viewership for “This Was The XFL” documentary, The Rock to be featured in two movie trailers during Super Bowl

– The premiere of the “This Was The XFL” documentary delivered 917,000 viewers for ESPN on Thursday night. The documentary ranked 8th in the top 150 shows on cable for the night. The XFL was founded by Vince McMahon in 1999 and the first and only season of the football league took place in 2001. The league featured 8 teams and aired on NBC. If you haven’t seen the documentary yet, I highly recommend that you do so.

– Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, noted on his Instagram account that he would be in two movie trailers during Sunday’s Super Bowl. Johnson posted the following:

“Despite me being the only SOB wearing sneakers on the beach, it’s still very cool to have TWO movie trailers air during the SUPER BOWL this Sunday – BAYWATCH and FAST & FURIOUS. As a kid, I’d get so hyped to see the cool movie spots play during the commercials. Well, I’m still a big a– kid who gets hyped and this kind of stuff never gets old. Grateful.”
