On this week’s edition of The Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette talked about the news announced on Monday about The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express being inducted in the 2017 WWE Hall Of Fame. Cornette talked about the wave of tweets he got from fans wanting to see him inducted and/or see him induct Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson.
“I appreciate everyone who thinks I should be a part [of the Hall Of Fame induction] but I’m not going to campaign for that.” He didn’t shut down the idea of inducting them. Regarding WWE he said, “They know where I am.” Co-host Brian Last feels that Ricky and Robert’s induction creates a clear path for Jim Cornette and The Midnight Express to eventually get inducted in the HOF.
Cornette also talked about Samoa Joe’s in-ring debut on Monday Night Raw and put him over as a superstar because of his look and attitude. He put over Joe’s work and said that “he hit a home run” and praised WWE for presenting him the right way. Yes, Jim Cornette has positive things to say about the business but it often goes underreported.
He also put over Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens as the only other stars on the show behind Joe. He likes Roman Reigns but he wants to see more fire behind what he does.
