Former WWE/TNA star MVP recently spoke with the Miami Herald while he was attending a Brain Buster Pro event. During the interview, he was asked about performing at WrestleMania. He said that his dream was to wrestle at Wrestle Kingdom for New Japan Pro Wrestling and he experienced that but his goal was to wrestle at WrestleMania. He noted that as people we have dreams, and he was fortunate enough to be able to do both. “To be on the biggest stage, in the biggest company, on the biggest wrestling show in the world, multiple times, it’s unbelievable, and I will always be grateful for those opportunities.”
When asked about keeping the “MVP” character after leaving WWE, he gave credit to WWE for allowing him to keep the ownership of the persona. He noted that they worked out a deal where they could use it, but they understood that it’s his intellectual property. He noted that he’ll always be grateful for that because WWE didn’t have to do that. He added that he would have gone along with whatever deal they offered him, but noted that they took care of me.
