Trish Stratus reflects on her career, comments on Lita’s recent departure from WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus appeared on episode 153 of The Ross Report to talk about her career. During the interview, she reflected on her decorated professional wrestling career. She said that she is happy with what she did and would do it all over again if she could to try to make it better. She noted that she had the reputation for being vocal about what she does on WWE TV and had several good conversations and a good working relationship with Vince McMahon. She pointed out that she would speak her mind if she had a problem with something and learned to never say no but to rather pitch other ideas.

She admitted that the one situation she was not happy about over her WWE run involved her rejecting a storyline involving kissing Torrie Wilson. She noted that the storyline didn’t make it to TV as WWE wanted her to kiss Wilson but she noted that her character wouldn’t do that as it didn’t feel like it was a good fit for her, so she suggested another idea. She thinks that Stacy Keibler ended up doing the same spot WWE told her that she didn’t have to do it and she got out of it. She noted that it was very important to her to protect her character and that is the reason she feels that her character stayed intact for pretty much her career.

When asked about Lita’s departure from WWE in late 2016, Stratus said that Lita is doing great and that she thinks it came to a time where she was ready to move on. She noted that Lita started working for the company again after the most recent season of Tough Enough. She noted that Lita was a backstage agent and that she transitioned well into that role.
