There were several guests in attendance at GFW Slammiversary on Sunday night. As you can see in the photo below, Paige sat at ringside during the main event between her fiancee Alberto El Patron and Bobby Lashley. She wore a mask and was not shown on camera but I doubt WWE would be happy about that. Legally, there’s nothing they could do since she was not paid to be there but you don’t typically see current WWE Superstars in attendance at other shows, especially at a pay-per-view.
There were conflicting reports going around last weekend about Paige and Alberto but Dave Meltzer confirmed that they did indeed break up last Saturday but got back together on Wednesday.
Paige is believed to be fully recovered from the neck surgery she got back in December and she has been talking about getting in the ring again. She remains under contract with WWE so I would assume that she will be back in the ring soon on Raw or Smackdown Live. Alberto El Patron won the Unified World Heavyweight Championship at Slammiversary. Both the IMPACT and GFW belts have been united and a new title will be unveiled at the Impact Wrestling tapings on Monday night.
We are told that they turned away over 300 fans for Slammiversary. That’s the first time they’ve turned away that many people in years to there is some momentum with the new management in charge. The feeling from the wrestlers and backstage crew backstage was that they hit a home run with Slammiversary. It would be hard to argue with them on that.
