WWE Monday Night Raw 7/3/17 results: Great Balls of Fire go-home show, Finn Balor vs. Cesaro

Welcome to WWE Monday Night Raw. There is a recap video of last week’s episode of Raw. Enzo Amore walks out to the ring to start the show. He said that over the past year, he has been knocked out, beat down in hotels, and attacked while the fans had his back. He said that Big Cass stood behind him over the last five years and waited for his moment. Amore said that he continues to get back up every time he gets knocked down. He said that Cass has never had his back. He said that he is not the biggest guy in the ring but he is the toughest guy in a long time. He said that confidence is something that you can’t teach and he is grateful to be realistic. He said that he believes in the good that he is doing and it’s something that you can’t teach. He said that he knows that he is going straight to the top and that he has climbed out of holes bigger than seven feet. He said that Cass is a seven-foot catchphrase. He told Big Cass not to be surprised when the next merchandise check comes and it’s for zero dimes. He called him a casshole. That is not a typo. He said that their relationship is dead but when he got kicked in the face, he is now alive. He said that there are only eyes on him. We see Big Cass watching on in the backstage area. He was interviewed and said that Amore said nothing. Cass said that Amore won’t be walking after Great Balls of Fire. He said that he is the star and where the money is. Amore then attacked Cass from behind. A brawl broke out until referees separated them.

Tag Team Match: Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Nia Jax & Nia Jax

Jax and Bayley started things off. They started brawling then Jax caught her with a clothesline. Banks was tagged in and sent Jax to the floor then drop kicks her to the floor. Jax sent Bayley into the barricade and hit a splash.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Banks in control of Bliss. Bliss sent her into the corner but Banks caught her with a knee strike. Banks missed a knee strike in the corner and Jax was tagged in. Jax hit a backbreaker to Banks. Moments later, Banks fought back and locked in the Bank Statement to Bliss for the win.

Winners: Sasha Banks & Bayley

We see Kurt Angle on the phone backstage. Braun Strowman walks in and wants to know if Roman Reigns can’t wrestle at GBOF. Angle said that Reigns will be there but Strowman has his doubts and said that Reigns is not here tonight. He wants competition. Angle assures him that Reigns will be at GBOF and that no one wants to face him tonight. Strowman told him that Angle better find an opponent for him.

-Commercial Break-

A video package to hype Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe was shown.

Cedric Alexander walks down to the ring and cuts a promo about how it’s over with Alicia Fox. He told Noam Dar to get out here so he can send Dar back to Fox with a neck brace. Dar walks out with Fox.

Singles Match: Cedric Alexander vs. Noam Dar

Alexander attacked him and sent Dar to the back. Back in the ring, Dar hit a gut check for 2. Dar worked over the left arm of Alexander. Moments later, Alexander fought back and hit his finisher for the win.

Winner: Alexander.

-Commercial Break-

The Miz with Maryse walked down to the ring for Miz TV. He cuts a promo about how Dean Ambrose can’t handle success and not a top guy. He said that making the Intercontinental Title relevant is and always will be his job. He said that Ambrose is a joke. This led to Ambrose walking out to the ring. Ambrose said that he hoped that last week’s Miz TV would be the last. He said that Miz is spot on about him but he doesn’t care if Miz has two bodyguards. He said that he wants his rematch for the IC Title. Ambrose wanted the rematch tonight. Heath Slater and Rhyno walked out. Slater said that the last man to beat Miz was him and that he has never had a title shot at the IC Title. He said that he needs a title shot. Ambrose told him to stay in line. Miz said that Ambrose needs to wait his time for a title match. Miz refused to wrestle Slater tonight because they have a July 4th party to attend. This led to Kurt Angle walking out to the stage. Miz said he would defend his title at GBOF and that Angle could pick his opponent. Angle booked Miz vs. Slater for tonight and Miz vs. Ambrose for GBOF.

-Commercial Break-

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz © vs. Heath Slater

Miz is still in his dress clothes. They lock up to begin the match. Miz hit knee strike to Slater’s gut. Slater fought back by landing a series of strikes in the corner. Slater rolled him up for 2. Miz rolled to the floor to regroup.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Miz hitting a powerslam for 2. Miz sent him throat first into the ropes and then to the floor. The back of Miz’s pants ripped. He landed a series of kicks to Slater. Slater powered up and hit a flapjack. Slater avoided a spear and rolled him up for 2. Slater hit a neckbreaker for 2. Miz connected with a clothesline then went to the top rope but Slater caught him with a powerslam. Curtis Axel got on the apron but Rhyno took him down. Dallas and Axel sent Rhyno into the ring post. Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

Winner: The Miz.

Post-match, Axel and Dallas beatdown Slater. Ambrose ran down to make the save but was taken out by Dallas and Axel. Miz stood tall in the ring to close the segment.

-Commercial Break-

Apollo Crews and Titus O’Neil were talking backstage. O’Neil thinks it is the perfect time for Crews to face Strowman. O’Neil talks him into the match.

Goldust is in the ring show the world the premiere of his greatest masterpiece, The Shattered Truth. He thanks the fans and R-Truth for making it happen. He said that without R-Truth being selfish, this film could not be made. He showed the movie, which was his beaten of R-Truth. This led to R-Truth appearing in the ring and attacking Goldust.

We see Kurt Angle informing Sheamus and Cesaro that they will facing The Hardy Boyz in a 30-minute ironman match at GBOF. Angle booked Cesaro vs. Finn Balor for tonight.

-Commercial Break-

Curt Hawkins is in the ring with Seth Rollins. Hawkins started to cut a promo but Rollins attacked. The match started but it was extremely short as Rollins his knee strike finisher for the win. Rollins cut a promo about how they do not need to be saved by Bray Wyatt. He vowed to prove that Wyatt is not a god at GBOF. He asked if Wyatt is a man or a coward.

-Commercial Break-

Michael Cole did a sit down interview with Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe. Joe has not clue as to why he is still answering questions after he has made statements each and every week. Lesnar said that Joe is not fighting Heyman this Sunday. Lesnar said that he is the champion and he will walk out of GBOF as champion. Joe said that Lesnar has done nothing. Lesnar said that Joe is a coward and that he has not been looking for him. Joe wants to do this now. Joe said that WWE is protecting Lesnar by having him in a locked room. Lesnar listed several people who he has beaten. He bragged about all of the people he has choked out. Joe is tired of playing around and ripped off his microphone. Lesnar told Joe to come find him. Joe was searching around in the backstage area for Lesnar. Angle walked up with security. Joe found Lesnar but security held Joe back.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Mustafa Ali vs. Neville

Ali took him down and hit a back suplex. Neville fought back shortly and locked in his submission finisher for the win.

Winner: Neville

-Commercial Break-

Bray Wyatt cuts a promo while in the desert. He said that he is everywhere. He vowed that Rollins would look into the eyes of a god this Sunday at GBOF and that it will burn.

Alexa Bliss cuts a backstage promo about losing to Banks tonight. She said that she let Banks tonight as winner requires strength and intelligence. She vowed to win this Sunday.

Singles Match: Cesaro vs. Finn Balor.

They lock up and Balor connects with a series of kicks. Cesaro caught him mid-air and landed a back breaker. Balor landed a chop in the corner. Cesaro fought back with a series of chops and sent Balor to the floor.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Cesaro in control of Balor. Cesaro went for the neutralizer but Balor blocked it and landed a series of kicks. He drop kicked Cesaro to the floor and kicked him in the face. Balor hit the slingblade but Elias Samson walked out to the ring. This allowed Cesaro to hit a big uppercut for 2. Balor caught him with a kick and then went for a dive but Samson tripped Balor. The Hardy Boyz attacked Sheamus and Samson. Balor sent Cesaro to the floor and hit an outside dive. Cesaro sent Balor knee first into the apron. Matt hit the Twist of Fate to Samson and Sheamus hit Matt with a kick. Jeff took out Sheamus with a dive. Balor hit a drop kick to Cesaro then hit his finisher for the win.

Winner: Balor.

-Commercial Break-

Braun Strowman walked out and said that there are not many more things than him like hurting Roman Reigns. He vowed to put Reigns in the ambulance at GBOF. He demanded that his opponent come out to the ring. Titus O’Neil walks out and said that Crews is someone that Strowman has never faced before. He said that monsters can be defeated.

Singles Match: Braun Strowman vs. Apollo Crews

They start brawling and Strowman tossed him out of the ring. Crews got back into the ring and hit a series of strikes. Crews went for a backsplash but Strowman kicked him across the ring. Strowman hit his finisher for the win.

Winner: Strowman.

Post-match, O’Neil stopped Strowman from the further beating. They started brawling and Strowman hit his finisher. Strowman walks Crews up to the ambulance and puts him in there. The ambulance doesn’t drive away because Reigns is in the driver seat. They start brawling. Reigns sent Strowman into the screen then speared him off the stage. Reigns stood tall to end the show.
