When James Ellsworth and Carmella decided to throw a Fourth of July Carmellabration on SmackDown Live this week everyone thought it would be a great experience for the Princess Of Staten Island. But as things turned out it was all but a good time for Carmella and the Chinless Wonder.
Carmella and Ellsworth came down and drew some decent heat to begin their segment. James Ellsworth said he was canceling Independence Day and announcing a Carmellabration. Then Carmella got on the microphone and spit some fire in a promo that got everybody heated up. She really rubbed it in everyone’s face that she was Miss Money In The Bank and there wasn’t anything anyone could do about it either.
Then Naomi came down and issued a warning to Carmella after she started running her mouth about the SmackDown Women’s Champion. The two didn’t get very far until Naomi turned her attention to James Ellsworth whom she called “Ellsworthless.” Naomi said she had a surprise for him and then pointed toward the entrance ramp.
Daniel Bryan came “yessing” his way down the ramp to the ring and the entire place popped like crazy to see the Bearded GOAT. Daniel Bryan didn’t seem too happy with Mella or Ellsworth and issued them some ominous words. Finally, Daniel Bryan turned to James Ellsworth and barred him from the arena.
James Ellsworth made a crack about how he’ll never be able to get back in just like he got back in the building last week to help Carmella win after being barred. Daniel Bryan then made it a little bit harder for James to come back in the building as he fined him $10,000 without really giving him a reason and then told him he would be sitting at home without pay for thirty days because he was suspended.
The segment ended with Ellsworth and Carmella exiting up the ramp looking shocked after Daniel Bryan told Ellsworth if he came back or broke his suspension, then Carmella would lose her MITB briefcase.
This is certainly an interesting turn of events for Ellsworth and Carmella’s MITB drama. This might be part of the story or WWE could have called an audible because James Ellsworth could have failed a wellness policy test. But we’ll know soon enough how this will turn out for The Princess Of Staten Island.
