The awesome WWE 24 documentary series will return this Monday night after Raw. The next one will focus on Kurt Angle and his return to WWE after being gone for over a decade. The interview will feature interviews with Vince McMahon, current and former talent, and his former boss/ex-TNA President Dixie Carter. Yes, you read that right. It will be the first time that she’s appeared on a WWE television show.
I don’t know if that will open the doors for her to do more work with the company but given that WWE likes to shy away from mentioning anything about TNA on their shows, it surprised me to see them fly out to Nashville to interview her. I give credit to WWE for interviewing her because a large chunk of Angle’s wrestling career happened while working for Carter and it would not make sense to omit the stuff he did while he was away from WWE. Angle has said in interviews that some of his best matches happened while he was working in TNA and wishes that more fans could have seen some of his work with guys like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.
This is not the first time that Carter had interaction with WWE. She first met Stephanie McMahon and Paul “Triple H” Levesque for the first time at Reid Flair’s funeral in 2013. Needless to say, it was a sad meeting because of the circumstances but Carter and McMahon were cordial to each other on Twitter.
“@TNADixie: Met @StephMcMahon for the first time this past week. Wish her and her family much success this weekend.” Thank You Dixie!
