GFW Releases statement concerning Alberto’s domestic abuse investigation

When news broke about Alberto El Patron concerning the recent alleged domestic abuse charges there were plenty of people not only worried about the entire situation but they were also concerned about Paige and Alberto in general.

It’s terrible timing to say the least as Alberto had just unified the GFW and Impact titles to become GFW’s Global Champion at Slammiversary. Alberto was also heavily featured in the next set of television tapings which are scheduled to air for the next two months.

Alberto’s employer, Global Force Wrestling has now officially released a statement to Pro Wrestling Sheet about the ordeal.

“Global Force Wrestling takes all legal situations very seriously and is looking into this matter.  GFW is a privately-held company and will thoroughly investigate this incident and fully cooperate with law enforcement.”

Please keep in mind that this is still an ongoing investigation so no real motives or conclusions can be drawn just yet. As with every other case we should wait until police have concluded their investigation. But nonetheless just the fact that we’re talking about this kind of thing isn’t a good deal.

In case you missed it, the Orlando Police released their own statement on the matter which certainly leads us to believe this is an ongoing investigation so as stated above: no conclusions should be drawn up just yet.

In their statement the Orlando PD said, “there was an incident at Orlando International Airport at about 3 p.m. Sunday involving Jose Rodriguez (DOB 5/25/1977) The reported incident was a domestic violence battery, and it is still under investigation. No arrests have been made as of this time, but the case remains open. That is all the information we have for release at this time.”

We will be keeping a close eye on this situation and let you know as soon as anything progresses.
