– WWE Champion Jinder Mahal announced following his non-title match against Tye Dillinger on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live that he is bringing the Punjabi Prison structure to next week’s show. Randy Orton, who is set to challenge Mahal for the WWE Championship at the upcoming Battleground pay-per-view on July 23rd, did not appear on this week’s show as he is currently off filming “Changeland” in Thailand. He will return to WWE television next week.

– WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville, who usually works Raw live events, is set to work the SmackDown live event in Tallahassee, Florida at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center this weekend. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on who his opponent will be.
– WWE held a dark match before this week’s edition of SmackDown Live in San Antonio, TX at the AT&T Center. American Alpha and Sin Cara defeated The Ascension and Aiden English in a six-man tag team match.
