WWE taped tonight’s edition of NXT on Friday, June 23rd, 2017, from Winter Park, FL at the Full Sail University. Here are the spoilers for tonight’s show:
— Singles Match: Aleister Black defeated Bobby Fish
— NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Authors of Pain © defeated Heavy Machinery. Post-match, Sanity come out to confront AOP.
— There will be a #1 contender’s match for the NXT Championship tonight with Drew Galloway vs Killian Dain
— Singles Match: Drew McIntyre defeats Killian Dain to become #1 contender to the NXT Championship.
— Johnny Gargano walked down to the ring and cut a promo about how he missed coming to the ring. He said that when he heard his music he used to get excited about something special but then NXT Takeover: Chicago happened, and he never saw it coming. He said that he would have taken a bullet for Tommaso Ciampa, but Ciampa put a bullet in him. He said that he is not here to dwell on the past, but rather he’s here to move forward. He said that he needs to get back to performing. He added that he has to be on Takeover Brooklyn no matter what.
