NXT Superstar possibly injured at live event

WWE held an NXT live event on Thursday in Cocoa, FL at the Cocoa Armory and it appears that one Superstar may have suffered an injury in the main event.

Buddy Murphy may have suffered an ankle or leg injury at the show. He teamed up with Kassius Ohno but lost to Hideo Itami & The Velveteen Dream in a tag team match. Early in the match, Murphy went down after landing badly on his ankle.

This led to a trainer coming out and checking on Murphy for a moment. Referee Drake Wuertz came down a few minutes after the trainer and talked to Murphy, who eventually agreed to go to the backstage area to get checked out. This forced Ohno to work the match by himself.

Here are the results from the event:

— Singles Match: Tian Bing defeats Raul Mendoza

— Tag Team Match: Lacey Evans & Ruby Riot defeat Billie Kay & Peyton Royce

— Tag Team Match: Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight) defeat The Ealy Twins (Gabriel Ealy & Uriel Ealy) (w/Brennan Williams)

— Singles Match: Babatunde Aiyegbusi defeats Sawyer Fulton

— Singles Match: Aleister Black defeats Marcel Barthel

— Singles Match: Nick Miller (w/Shane Thorne) defeats Chad Lail

— Singles Match: Ember Moon defeats Bianca Belair

— Tag Team Match: Hideo Itami & The Velveteen Dream defeat Buddy Murphy & Kassius Ohno
