Impact Wrestling is switching things up once again and they’re making some big moves to position some of their top talents to represent the company as champions.
During the television tapings from Orlando Florida on Friday night, there were two championship matches which saw titles changing hands.
Laurel Van Ness reportedly gave her notice to Impact Wrestling looking for her release during the last set of television tapings, but they gave her the Knockouts Title anyway. It was expected that Van Ness (aka Chelsea Green) would be dropping her Knockouts Title soon enough because she is reportedly on her way out of the company.
It looks like LVN very well could be getting her wish because Allie defeated her for the Knockouts Championship at the television taping on Friday night.
On another note, the X-Division Championship also received a big shake-up as Taiji Ishimori dropped his title to Matt Sydal. This is Sydal’s first run with the Impact X-Division Championship. The man formally known as Evan Bourne in WWE has been through a lot but it looks like all that hard work is paying off in a big way.
These shows are yet to air, so until they do nothing will be “official” but it’s still something pretty exciting to look forward to in the weeks to come from Impact Wrestling.
