The STAPLES Center in Los Angeles has announced that John Cena will be returning on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live. This would be his first appearance on the show since November during the hype for the Survivor Series pay-per-view.
The announcement of Cena on the show could be a reaction to slugging ticket sales. The main reason why they’ve labeled Cena as a free agent is so that they could have him switch back and forth between brands whenever there was time in his schedule. If he has time to appear on a WWE show on a Monday, for example, then it wouldn’t make sense to keep him off TV just because he is exclusive to the other brand.
JUST ANNOUNCED…@JohnCena will be at STAPLES Center during Smackdown LIVE tomorrow night. Great seats still available: https://t.co/CeMiBI9xox pic.twitter.com/B8qaUcLboS
