Roman Reigns won the chance to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, but The Beast Incarnate didn’t appear on Raw in Anaheim.
Lesnar was promoted for the show and fans were told he was in the building as well. But with rumors swirling that Dana White and Lesnar are getting really chummy once again, it certainly seemed to play into WWE’s storyline.
“Brock Lesnar is booked in Detroit in two weeks, that I know,” Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio. “He’s not booked for next Monday’s show in Milwaukee and Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were scheduled for a confrontation on the show tonight. So that was definitely in the script and whatever happened if this was a last second angle change or something happened, I don’t know.”
It was also noted Brock Lesnar has walked out of Raw before the show before and Roman Reigns wasn’t “shooting” during his promo on Raw. But no matter what was going on backstage, Reigns still delivered a great promo on Raw this week. Meltzer said Lesnar was in the first and second script of the show, but things obviously changed somehow.
