The Big Show’s WWE contract set to expire (updated)

The Big Show spent over two decades being a dominant force in pro wrestling and had plenty of outstanding moments in the ring. As we approach the end of February 2018, it not only means we’re inching closer to WrestleMania 34, but it could also mean Big Show’s WWE contract has now officially come to an end.

He could always sign an extension, but we haven’t heard of Show doing anything like that. He also said in a 2017 interview with The Sporting News that his contract was set to end at the in February as he expressed his frustration that he never got that WrestleMania match against Shaquille O’Neal.

“It is a little frustrating because my contract ends in February 2018. So I don’t know what’s going to happen between now and then. I don’t know if there will be an opportunity for me next year at WrestleMania or not. I don’t know because there’s a lot of new Superstars breaking out and I’ve done my time. This was my perhaps my last opportunity to have a featured match at WrestleMania. And I would have had a good time working with Shaq.”

The Big Show could definitely sign some kind of legends deal because it seems impossible to think of him distancing himself from WWE entirely. He is not only a shoo-in for the WWE Hall Of Fame, but has created a ton of memories along the way and influenced so many Superstars who will be crusaders in the squared circle for years to come.

At a time like this, #ThankYouBigShow should really become a thing.
