Shortly after this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live, Jeff Hardy took to Instagram with a video to wish the fans a happy July 4th. Before the video ended, Hardy tilted his head up and you could see an image of Finn Balor. Fans on social media went ballistic at the notion of a possible Jeff Hardy match against “The Demon” Finn Balor.
Hardy could be messing around but it could also be a tease for a potential match. If the match does happen then SummerSlam in Brooklyn would be a good place to have it since it’s one of WWE’s biggest pay-per-views of the year.
Hardy needs to get through Extreme Rules where he will defend the United States Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura. Perhaps, we’ll know after the pay-per-view if Hardy is just messing around or if there are plans for a match with Balor. The thought of Hardy in facepaint vs. “The Demon” Finn Balor in facepaint sounds intriguing.
