The Raw Women’s Championship match is set for WWE SummerSlam. Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced that Ronda Rousey would be challenging Alexa Bliss for the title at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The match was made after Rousey came out of the crowd. She didn’t get her hands on Bliss but she was able to catch Mickie James. Angle cooled things down and told Rousey to serve the rest of her suspension and, as long as she doesn’t touch Bliss, she will get her title shot at SummerSlam.
It’s been clear for weeks that this was the planned match since Rousey was screwed out of the title at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
The other match announced for the show is Brock Lesnar defending the Universal Championship but his opponent will not be determined until next week’s Raw.
