Four more names announced for this year’s WWE Mae Young Classic

WWE has confirmed four more names for the Mae Young Classic. Tegan Nox, Deonna Purrazzo, Jessica Elaban and Reina González will be part of the tournament this year.

Nox is a 23-year old signed to a developmental deal last summer but she was sidelined for 10 months after tearing her ACL during a training session. She has been working on NXT live events in recent months.

Purrazzo reported to the Performance Center last week but she has made appearances on WWE television, most notably during the mystery woman angle that led to Mickie James’ return to the main roster.

Elaban has a background in soccer, basketball, track and dance and her in-ring experience is limited. She has apparently impressed officials enough that she has earned a spot in the tournament.

González is the daughter of former wrestler Ricky “Desperado” Gonzalez. She played basketball at Sam Houston State University and joined the Performance Center in October 2016. She was also part of last year’s Mae Young Classic in a losing effort against Nicole Savoy.

These names accidentally got out earlier thanks to Renee Young’s Twitter account. Click here to see more names rumored for the tournament.
