WWE Evolution all-women’s pay-per-view set for October

This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw kicked off with the “historic announcement” that was first teased a few days ago. Vince McMahon kicked off the show and then introduced Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

As expected, and as we first talked about back in April, the big announcement was that October 28th would be the date for an event called “Evolution.” It will be the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view. This was not said but the reason why they chose October is because they wanted to tie everything in with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The show will take place at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY.

All of the women (Raw and Smackdown Live) on the active roster were on the stage along with all of the male Raw talent when this announcement was made. There was no mention about the rumored Women’s Tag Team Championship belts.

They also announced that the “Evolution” pay-per-view will feature the following:

– A Raw Women’s Championship match
– A Smackdown Women’s Championship match
– An NXT Women’s Championship match
– The Finals of the Mae Young Classic
