Triple H comments on if Evolution will be an annual WWE event

Earlier this week the WWE announced their first ever all-female pay-per-view (PPV) event – Evolution.

The announcement was made in the opening segment of Monday Night RAW with the entire red brand’s roster and the women of SmackDown Live on the entrance ramp for the news. After some praise for the Women’s Revolution over the years by both Triple H and Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon made the historic announcement.

The women of WWE – then, now and forever- will be a part of the first ever all-female WWE show in October. This is a major step for the WWE’s Women’s Revolution, but some questions still remain. One of those questions being whether or not the Evolution PPV will be an annual event.

Triple H recently addressed this question in an interview with Sky Sports. Here’s what he had to say:

“It’s a question to be answered down the road. Do we need to have a women’s only event? No – just like we don’t need a men’s only event or anything else. I think that the opportunity is there whoever is the best, the most prominent box office attraction that is the main event.

“It doesn’t matter if that’s Raw, Smackdown, NXT, WrestleMania. So can they have their own event? Can it be a mainstay? Yes, and if our fans want it and it’s the right thing then we’ll give it to them. The WWE universe will dictate to us what the approach is.”

“The Game” talked about a number of other topics regarding Evolution; including what the real purpose of the PPV is, other legends possibly appearing after the announcements of Trish Stratus and Lita, and much more. The full interview can by found at this link here.
