Last night (Mon. July 30, 2018) WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE TV on Monday Night RAW.
Lesnar hadn’t been seen since April when he defended his Universal Title against Roman Reigns at the Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) in Saudi Arabia. “The Beast” has reigned as Universal Champion since capturing the strap from Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 last year in Orlando. In recent weeks, its been revealed that Lesnar intends on returning to the mixed martial arts (MMA) world soon.
“The Beast” will challenge UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at a date that has yet to be determined next year. In Lesnar’s last fight for the UFC he failed a United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) drug test. He was suspended for a year of competition, but after announcing his retirement from MMA, the suspension was frozen. Upon officially coming out of retirement Lesnar’s suspension was unfrozen.
He must now provide clean tests to USADA for the next few months before becoming eligible again. Lesnar’s suspension will lift in January pending anymore failed USADA tests. Now that he’s back in the USADA drug testing pool, however, Lesnar has begun to look a little….different. Fans noticed it on Twitter as well, and noted that “The Beast” is looking a little smaller. They also said that the Universal Champ is looking lean:
Something is different about Brock Lesnar. Can’t quite put my finger on it *cough USADA cough* #WWE #RAW
