Big Cass (with a new name) books his first independent wrestling date

It looks like the man formerly known as Big Cass will continue to pursue professional wrestling.

Big Time Wrestling has announced that he will be appearing on their 9/21 show at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg, SC. This would be his first wrestling appearance since being released by WWE in June. He is likely on a 90-day non-compete so that is why we haven’t heard much from him. The 9/21 date would be after the 90 days are up.

It’s been well-documented that there were several issues that led to his release from WWE. Hopefully, his personal issues are behind him. Before things got bad with him, there were people in management that liked him and felt that he had the potential to be a top star. If he can get his act together then I don’t doubt that WWE would be willing to bring him back at some point, especially if he improves in the ring and is able to get a buzz around him the same way Cody Rhodes and Juice Robinson did.

BTW is also advertising Tommy Dreamer, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Tenille Dashwood, Mick Foley, The Faces Of Fear, and James Ellsworth.
